The rumours of Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimović’s potential retirement have been making headlines for years. Yet, the Swede doesn’t seem ready to call time on his storied footballing career.
Speaking to Tuttosport, Ibrahimović’s agent Rafaela Pimenta discussed the forward’s future. Though, as it appeared, there was very little to discuss as the 41-year-old, according to the Brazilian agent, has not thought of a life after retirement. She said:
“In my opinion, he doesn’t even know yet, because he is still a great player, and he still thinks like a footballer. A guy like him can do anything.”
In the 2022/23 season, the former Manchester United striker has not managed to play a game for Milan yet. His last appearance for the Rossoneri came in the 3-0 win over Sassuolo last season, where Stefano Pioli’s side lifted the coveted Scudetto.
The reports understand that the marksman is currently recovering from a knee injury that required surgery in May 2022 to fix the recurring knee issues. As things stand, Ibrahimović has a contract with Milan until June 2023.
