Agent reveals how Juventus returned to Paul Pogba at Manchester united

Paul Poga joined Juventus from Manchester United on a free transfer in the last summer transfer window.

While the comeback has not panned out the way Juventini and the Frenchman would’ve liked, the move created loads of noise, considering that Juve were able to pull off the transfer for the 2018 World Cup winner despite being plagued by financial instabilities in recent years.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Pogba’s representative Rafaela Pimenta explained how Juventus had gotten the idea of signing Pogba from the Premier League club for a second time.

She admitted that the Juventus authorities had come to Monte-Carlo Masters in France to watch tennis and subsequently had a meeting with Mino Raiola at their office, where the idea of calling Pogba and asking whether he would like to rejoin Juventus had initially come up. The Brazilian agent said:

“Juventus had not come to Monte Carlo to talk about Paul. They had come to watch the tennis tournament. Then they came by the office to ask how Mino was doing. We said hello, and when we were there, this idea came up to call Paul and talk to him a bit and see how he would see the idea of coming back to Juve.”

Since returning to Juventus, however, the Frenchman has not made an appearance in a competitive match for the Old Lady due to a knee injury. Recent reports from Italy claim that he will make his comeback before the 2022 World Cup.
