Andrea Belotti to wait for Roma only till Tuesday

Free agent Andrea Belotti has said ‘yes’ to Serie A side Roma in the last few days but is now waiting for the club to officially sign him as the Giallorossi need to balance their books before registering II Gallo.

According to a report from Alfredo Pedulla, Roma will be able to progress with the signing of Belotti only after they have offloaded Eldor Shomurodov on a loan deal and are in talks with Serie A counterparts Bologna for the same.

In the last few days, Giallorossi manager Jose Mourinho and the striker have remained in contact with Belotti eager to join the capital club as soon as possible but knows that he will have to wait until the Shomurodov deal gets through officially. The loan deal to Bologna for the Uzbek striker is without a buy-option at the end of it but that will be enough for Roma to balance their books.

However, Belotti doesn’t expect to wait further beyond Tuesday for official communications from Rome and will start considering other options at Valencia under Rino Gattuso who has already contacted him and Galatasaray’s offer on the table.
