Antonio Conte wants Piero Hincapie at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte sees Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie as a transfer target.

Hincapie had impressed for Ecuador in the FIFA World Cup and Marco Conterio has reported about Spurs’ interest in the left sided defender.

The report states that Spurs’ move for Alessandro Bastoni is difficult because of the finances that could be involved in a transfer. Inter do like Hincapie but a move for him is complex because of the tight financial situation and they could only go for him if Bastoni leaves.

Juventus cannot invest in Hincapie because of their financial restrictions. While Milan are well covered in the role, Napoli will have to consider whether Kim Min-Jae leaves in the summer or not. Considering all those factors, Spurs want to be leading the chase for the Ecuadorian, also because they have more economic power.

Conte is a fan of the defender and Fabio Paratici has a liking for him too, with the sporting director considering whether to move for him in January or not.
