Arsenal and Newcastle are closest to signing Mykhailo Mudryk, reveals Juventus journalist

Despite being linked to Juventus, chances of Mykhailo Mudryk coming to Italy are very small. According to journalist Mirko Di Natale, Arsenal and Newcastle are leading the race for the Ukranian winger.

Mudryk has impressed with his performances for Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukranian Premier League and Champions League. The winger has scored 10 goals and gave 8 assists in 18 appearences. With those numbers, it doesn’t come as a suprise that he has attracted interest from around Europe and that includes from clubs in the Premier League.

Reports came out linking Mudryk to Juventus, but Di Natale tells Get Italian Football News that there’s no interest from the Bianconeri.

“Arsenal (offer made) and Newcastle are the clubs closest to Mudryk”, he said. “Juve now? No. Maybe there will be interest in the summer.”

Shakhtar Donetsk’s chief executive Sergei Palkin made it very clear that they won’t let go of Mudryk easily. He told The Athletic that a big club will eventually come and pay €100 million for Mudryk. Mirko Di Natale also told GIFN that the Ukranian club wants at least €80 million to make a deal.
