Arsenal target Arthur wants Barcelona reunion

Juventus are interested in joining hands with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes this summer. But selling Arthur Melo appears to be a difficult task for the Bianconeri management.

La Gazzetta dello Sport correspondent Fabiana Della Valle reports that Arthur would like to return to Barcelona. But only Arsenal have arrived at the scene with an offer for the wantaway midfielder.

The report understands that the Premier League club wants to sign the Brazilian on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Arthur joined Juventus as part of an exchange for Miralem Pjanic in the summer of 2020. In recent times, Juventus have tried to offload the 25-year-old on several occasions.

Earlier this summer, he was offered to Roma as part of a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo. But Roma rebuffed the proposal.

The story also claims that the player’s €5 million salary per season is putting off the interest from the suitors.

Juve like Paredes, who is valued at €30 million by PSG. But his salary of around €7 million per season remains a stumbling block for the Italian club.

It is understood that Juventus’ future intentions around the Argentinian midfielder depend on the potential outgoings.
