Arsenal could initiate direct contact for Bologna’s Aaron Hickey soon and they see the Scotsman as a replacement for Nuno Tavares.
Corriere di Bologna confirm Arsenal’s interest in Hickey today, claiming that the Gunners’ director Edu sees the defender as a replacement for Nuno Tavares, who arrived at the club last summer.
It is stated that Arsenal are willing to put €20 million on the plate for the ex-Celtic and Hearts youngster and the player is aware about the interest from the Emirates-based side. It is suggested that Arsenal’s potential move would give Bologna a chance to make a massive capital profit.
The report confirms the claims from Sky Sports in England, claiming that contacts between the two clubs are expected soon and it could happen in the next few hours. It has been previously reported that Napoli and Milan are also interested in the Scotsman.
Hickey has impressed for Bologna this season and he has scored five times in Serie A. Apart from playing at left-back, he has also played at right-back.
