Napoli reject Arsenal’s approach for Victor Osimhen

Napoli have pegged back Arsenal’s offer for their Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Journalist Marco Giordano has reported recently that in the last days of April, Victor Osimhen ‘s Italian agent , Roberto Calenda showed up in Castelvolturno. He had a chat with Aurelio de Laurentiis and Cristiano Guintoli and it was during that time that was talk of an offer from Manchester United.

More recently, Arsenal came forward for the Nigerian and offered a fee of €90 million for the striker. But De Laurentiis rejected the offer as he believes that the player is worth €110 million. Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the Champions League is likely to hamper their chances of signing Osimhen. Newcastle United have also been linked with the ex-Lille man.

The Gunners have not raised their offer but Napoli know that a new approach could come from United or Arsenal, with the Partenopei having identified Gianluca Scamacca as a viable alternative.
