Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini wants club exit

Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini wants to depart the club this summer amidst talk of a potential stay at the Bergamo-based side.

Last month, the Atalanta boss had spoken publicly about his future at La Dea, as the club had finished 8th in Serie A. The Italian stated that things had ‘changed’ in the relationship between himself and the side.

Corriere della Sera have stated that Atalanta want Gasperini to stay this summer despite questions about his future and they want to rebuild the project with him. But Gasperini, despite the club’s wishes, wants to depart and has desires of starting a new adventure.

It is stated that while the top seven sides from Serie A are not changing managers, the other teams could witness changes in the hotseat and Atalanta are now likely to be one of them. La Dea reportedly see Igor Tudor as the replacement for the 64-year-old, with Tudor having recently departed Verona.
