Barcelona and Chelsea handed transfer blow by Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent

Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent Fali Ramadani appears to have rejected rumours linking his client with a move away from Napoli in the summer transfer window.

In a statement released by Corriere dello Sport, Ramadani declared,

“The daily news concerning Kalidou Koulibaly and systematically appearing in the media push me, as the player’s representative, to a simple clarification. At this moment, there is no negotiation with other clubs regarding the future of Koulibaly and we are waiting to meet the president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, to define the best solution for the player and for the club.”

It is understood that Napoli have proposed a new contract renewal offer to the centre-back at a salary of around €3million plus various performance-related bonuses, which the defender has not agreed to sign yet.

A new meeting with De Laurentiis has reportedly been fixed to find a mutual consensus in regard to the future of the player at Naples.

Reports from across the continent have linked Koulibaly with numerous clubs so far, with European heavyweights such as Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Barcelona making all the headlines. The Senegalese’s current contract at the Partenopei expires in June 2023.
