Barcelona set to pay full wages for Samuel Umtiti’s move to Serie A side Lecce

Spanish giants Barcelona are set to pay the full wage of Samuel Umtiti in his loan deal at Serie A outfit Lecce.

Umtiti is said to be very close to sealing an initial loan move to Lecce, with Marin Pongracic from Wolfsburg also said to be heading to the Serie A club.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that it will be a dry loan for the Frenchman, who is looking to recover a place in the French national team. He earns €20 million gross at Barcelona and his loan at Lecce will have the Catalan club paying the whole wage.

But Barcelona will get some bonuses, depending on the player’s appearances and performances that he has put in. The defender will arrive in Lecce early next week to complete the move and it stated that he has future plans of coaching in Italy. He is keen on learning more about the tactics that teams use in Italy.

The 2018 World Cup winner will bring with him a personal athletic trainer to treat the muscles near the left knee which, in the past years, has given the player several problems in recent seasons.
