Belotti wants Milan but Rossoneri eye summer move for Liverpool star

Torino’s Andrea Belotti is dreaming of a move to Milan but the Rossoneri’s move for Divock Origi could scupper his hopes.

Daniele Longo reports that Andrea Belotti is all set to leave Torino in the upcoming summer transfer window. But he might not get his desired move to AC Milan this summer, with the Rossoneri reportedly setting their eyes on the out-of-favour Liverpool forward in Divock Origi.

The story suggests that the Torino management recently tried to re-open talks with the player’s entourage over a potential contract renewal for Belotti, but the negotiations hit the dead end, with the former Palermo striker now looking to part ways with the Turin-based side.

Touted as one of the most lethal forwards in Serie A, the 28-year-old has struggled with a series of injuries this season. From 16 league appearances, the Italy international has thus garnered only four goals.

With the forward’s contract set to expire in June 2022, the Calcinate-born sharpshooter understandably dreams of a move to AC Milan. But AC Milan has their eyes set on Divock Origi, who has not seen much game time either for Liverpool this season.

Milan has felt the lack of covers in the striking position this season, with frequent injuries to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ante Rebic posing some puzzles that Stefano Pioli would like to solve in the summer.

It is suggested that Belotti has recently rebuffed lucrative offers from some Arab clubs and Toronto FC, with Atalanta and Napoli emerging as two of the player’s most willing admirers ahead of the summer transfer window.
