Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister’s father: “Juventus is a huge club”

The father of Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister has spoken about Juventus and the midfielder’s links with a move to the Bianconeri.

It was recently reported that Mac Allister has given his approval to a potential move to the Bianconeri and has spoken to his family and friends about a potential transfer, which is more likely to happen in the summer than January.

Alexis’ father Carlos, who was a footballer himself, has spoken to Tuttomercatoweb about the situation of his son and his future at Brighton, amidst links with La Vecchia Signora.

Carlos Mac Allister stated, thanking Brighton for helping the midfielder: “Juventus is a huge club, one of the most prestigious in the world. I can only say that together with the club we will analyse the offers we receive, then we will decide what will happen to Alexis’ future. He is doing very well in England and he is grateful to Brighton because they gave him the possibility to reach Europe.”

The midfielder’s father further said: “However, we cannot provide a price, nor do we say who called us. We don’t want to give information that could prejudice imminent negotiations, if any.”

Mac Allister had impressed for Argentina in the FIFA World Cup and scored for them in the tournament, while also putting in a very good performance in the final against France. He didn’t just play in midfield, he also played wide and that is the sort of versatility that he has shown for the Seagulls as well.

For Brighton this season, the midfielder has played 14 Premier League games and has scored five times.
