Bundesliga side Hoffenheim are in talks to sign FC Zurich and Italy national team star Wilfried Gnonto.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the Italy forward is a target for Hoffenheim this summer and while he is being eyed by many Italian and European clubs, the German outfit seem serious in a move for him.
André Breitenreiter, who is currently at Zurich, will be the Hoffenheim manager next season and he would like Gnonto to be at his next club. Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs to strike a deal, with the German club’s attempt said to be ‘concrete’.
Gnonto has been very impressive for the Italian national as he recently scored his first goal for the country against Germany, some days after picking up an assist on his debut against Hungary. It was after his debut that the forward caught the eyes of many football fans across the globe.
