While Bayern Munich are interested in Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt, Chelsea still remain ahead in the race for the Dutch defender.
De Ligt’s future hangs in the balance this summer and he is yet to sign a new deal with the Bianconeri, as his entourage is looking to reduce the current release clause.
Romeo Agresti has now reported that Bayern indeed are interested in De Ligt – as reports from Germany have pointed out. But the Blues remain ahead of the German champions currently. There has been talk of a possible inclusion of Timo Werner in a potential deal as well.
Alfredo Pedulla has also reported recently that the defender is now in a hurry to sort out his future and Chelsea’s previous bid was pegged back. The defender has informed Chelsea to speed up their process and there’s a suggestion that an offer such as €80 million plus €10 million in bonuses could do the trick.
