Chelsea’s Jorginho wants Napoli return amidst Barcelona and Newcastle interest

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho wants to return to Napoli in the summer, when his contract at Stamford Bridge expires.

The Italian has been a regular for the Blues once, scoring once and that goal came against Manchester United. Recent reports have stated that Chelsea could replace him with Enzo Fernandez, with Newcastle United interested in the ex-Napoli man.

La Repubblica have reported that Jorginho is trying to not rush his choices and is taking his time. His dream is to return to Napoli, but both Barcelona and Newcastle have already taken some important first steps to sign the player.

It is stated that barring a sensational u-turn, Jorginho will be leaving Chelsea in the summer on the expiry of his contract. Newcastle are trying to convince the player by offering a key role in Eddie Howe’s project and a big salary. Barcelona and Xavi see him as a replacement for Sergio Busquets. Having said that, Jorginho is waiting for an approach from Napoli, for whom his current wage is too high.

Jorginho would have to half his wage and only that could start negotiations between the two parties.
