Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa is currently at the top of Napoli’s shortlist of potential goalkeeper targets this summer.
While reports have linked Barcelona’s Neto to the Partenopei, Kepa is also a target for the side as they look to rope in a new goalkeeper this summer.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that while Alex Meret is close to signing a new contract with Napoli, the club will still look to sign a new goalkeeper who has a certain amount of European experience. While Salvatore Sirigu was a target for the role not long ago, Kepa is the key target now.
The Spaniard does not want to play second-fiddle to Edouard Mendy anymore and it is stated that he is ‘tired’ of being a back-up option between the sticks. Talks between the Partenopei and the agents of the ex-Athletic Bilbao man have already taken place and he would like to move to Naples.
Relations between Chelsea and Napoli are excellent and there is a possibility that in a loan deal, the Blues can pay a majority of the wage. Nothing has been agreed between the clubs so far.
