Inter are now set to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea on a loan deal.
Lukaku had left Inter last summer to rejoin Chelsea but the move failed to work out, as the Belgian made his desire more a return to Inter public. And now, the move is very close to completion.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Lukaku’s time for the medical at Inter will be decided in the next few hours and the move is now set to go through. Inter have convinced Chelsea about the finances of the loan fee and are ready to pay €8 million plus bonuses to reach €10 million.
They raised their offer today, having offered about €7 million yesterday but it wasn’t enough. Chelsea’s initial demand was at €25 million and Inter’s very first offer was €5 million. Over time, the parties negotiated to find an agreement. Now, only small details are missing about the move.
