Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is now pushing for a move to Inter amidst interest from RB Leipzig as well.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim today that Inter are trying everything to sign the defender this summer, with the player also doing his bit from his own end now.Â
The Nerazzurri executives made fresh contact with Chelsea yesterday, through the intermediaries who are following the operation closely. Through that, they learned about the interest of Leipzig in the player and while that is worrying, Chalobah wants to join Inter right now.
He has asked Chelsea to let him leave if they sign another defender and he has a strong desire to reunite with Romelu Lukaku. It is stated that he is essentially forcing Chelsea’s hand now and Inter are hoping that they don’t push the player to another club.
Leipzig knocked on Chelsea’s doors yesterday and they would be willing to meet Chelsea’s demand of €3 million for a dry loan deal much more than Inter can. The Nerazzurri believe that their best strategy is to wait till the last few days of the transfer window.
