Conte could leave Tottenham amidst Paris Saint-Germain interest

Antonio Conte could leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the current season, with Paris Saint-Germain keeping tabs on him.

Carlo Laudisa from La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that it is not certain whether Conte will see out his contract with Spurs, with his current deal expiring in November 2023. There are said to be too many doubts about his position at Tottenham.

It is stated that while Conte feels well in London and his impact at the club has been positive, the inconsistency of the team keeps him on his toes. And that makes leaving the club in the summer a concrete possibility.

PSG are keeping an eye on him but there is talk that he wants to return to Italy. A return to Inter has been talked about in the report as a hypothesis, even though Simone Inzaghi’s position isn’t under threat currently.

But the financial issues will persist and Conte won’t be able to take advantage of the Growth Decree regulations. Even Juventus, who have been interested in Conte in the past, don’t pay Max Allegri as much as Conte would demand.

Roma have been interested in the past but Jose Mourinho’s presence means that it is an option which isn’t open. The report states that Inter’s game against Juventus is a ‘delicate’ moment for the Nerazzurri and Inzaghi, with the club considered the most viable candidate to have Conte.
