Conte’s Tottenham could be ‘ideal escape route’ for Chelsea’s Lukaku

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham has been described as the ‘ideal escape route’ for Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea.

Corriere della Sera today detail the situation of Lukaku at Chelsea and his wishes to return to Inter. They claim that Lukaku finds himself in a ‘crisis’ and he is not happy at Stamford Bridge anymore. When he first returned to Chelsea, his aim was to erase the memories of his previous stint but now, he is realising that he was engulfed by a ‘wounded pride’ and money.

While he wants to return to Inter, it is ‘very difficult’ for a move to take place in the summer. Inter will find any figures of a move to be ‘prohibitive’ and the salary isn’t something they would be able to afford anymore.

But with Inter short of money to do a potential deal, the outlet states that Fabio Paratici and Conte at Spurs could be an escape route for the striker as it might be a deal that Tottenham can afford. The report goes on to talk about the idea of a swap involving Harry Kane and Lukaku in the summer.
