Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel di Maria has rejected a chance to rejoin Manchester United and is now close to joining Juventus.
Di Maria has now confirmed that he is leaving PSG in the summer as his contract at the club is set to expire at the end of June. PSG had the option to extend the deal for another season but they have opted against it.
Like various sources, La Stampa claim that Di Maria is close to joining Juventus on a free transfer and barring any surprises he will join the Bianconeri in the summer. The outlet also go on to claim that the Argentine said ‘no’ to a return to Manchester United recently and this comes after La Gazzetta dello Sport had stated that Erik ten Hag has a liking for the ex-United winger.
United were said to be ‘pressing’ for the Argentine but the desire to try his hand in a new league convinced Di Maria and the Bianconeri were willing to offer him a regular starting berth too.
