Ex-Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori: “Southgate is watching my every game”

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is considered one of the most deserving candidates to make the England squad for the upcoming Qatar World Cup.

Milan host Chelsea in a Champions League group-stage match on Tuesday evening in the return leg after the Rossoneri suffered a 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge last week, where Tomori had a nightmarish performance against his former employers.

Ahead of the game at San Siro, the former Chelsea defender discussed his chances of making the World Cup squad for England. As quoted by TuttoMercatoWeb, the 24-year-old said:

“Every game is an opportunity to show that I can and want to play. I spoke to Southgate, and he told me that I have to continue like this and that he is watching every game; I already know that, I know I have to continue every game giving my best and then Southgate will decide. I want to give my best to go to the World Cup and play with England.”
