Ex-Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori: “We will show that we can do much better”

Milan, like Fikayo Tomori, did not have a great outing when they faced Chelsea one week ago, with the Premier League club thrashing the Serie A champions 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the return leg at San Siro on Tuesday evening, Tomori said that they would not waste the second chance. As quoted by TuttoMercatoWeb, the former Chelsea centre-back said:

“I always give my best in every game; last week, I didn’t manage it, but football always gives you another chance and we will try to make the most of it tomorrow: we will certainly show that we can do much better. We don’t need motivation: we will certainly push harder.”

The 24-year-old defender continued:

“We always react in the same way: we want to score. Against Chelsea, it wasn’t the real Milan, we didn’t give the reaction we wanted: we want to learn from that defeat.”
