Nemanja Matic is set to undergo a Roma medical on Monday.
Matic’s entourage had offered the midfielder to Roma some weeks ago, as he had announced his desire to leave Manchester United well before the campaign ended. He is now set to join the Giallorossi for free.
Sky Italia claim that Matic is expected to arrive for his Roma medical on Monday and after the process is done, he will sign his contract with the Roman outfit. While initially, the medical was expected in July, it has been brought forward as the player is keen to work with Jose Mourinho and at Roma.
Matic was the express request of Mourinho and the Serbian will sign a one-year deal and he will earn 3.5 million per season but he will have an option to sign a one-year extension.
Roma are expected to lose Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Inter and Matic will reinforce the midfield.
