Fabrizio Romano claims Manchester United made no bid for Hirving Lozano

Napoli winger Hirving Lozano has been liked with a move away from the Italian club multiple times over the last few years.

In recent times, a quote from his former representative Alessandro Monfrecol has gone viral, where the agent has suggested that Lozano could make a move to Manchester United.

However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man United never made any bid for the Mexican forward. Writing in his column for CaughtOffside, Romano reported that the player had been offered to Man United, but nothing else happened. It reads:

“It’s important to clarify that it is the player’s former agent who has given quotes to the press about a potential move to Old Trafford.

“From what I’m told, he was offered to Manchester United, nothing else. They never made any bid to Napoli.”

In the last summer transfer window, there were rumours of Lozano considering an exit from the Naples-based club. But with Napoli doing great in the Champions League and in Serie A, new reports have emerged, suggesting that Lozano is now willing to extend his current contract expiring in June 2024.
