Fiorentina deny talk of move for Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has dismissed talk of La Viola having made a move to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham.

It has been stated that Fiorentina are growing in confidence to sign the Argentine but Villarreal have already agreed personal terms with the midfielder, even though they are struggling to agree a deal with Spurs.

Prade spoke about Lo Celso in the club’s presentation press conference (via FirenzeViola) for defender Dodo and he revealed that La Viola haven’t moved for Lo Celso and there is ‘nothing’ in the links.

He stated: “For Lo Celso, we have never talked to Tottenham, there is really nothing. We moved in our transfer market in advance but we still have to make some exits. Then we will look at what the opportunities will be, if there will be. But we are happy with the group we have.”

It was stated that Fiorentina were willing to offer an initial loan deal with the option to buy to Spurs for the midfielder. The loan fee they were willing to offer was €2 million and the permanent transfer fee that they were willing to put forward was €15 million.
