Fiorentina now see Nadiem Amiri as a replacement for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.
While La Viola did try to sign Torreira permanently this summer, they failed to do the deal as they could not meet Arsenal’s asking price for the midfielder.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that after having sorted out Vincenzo Italiano’s new contract, La Viola want to concentrate on improving their midfield and they see Amiri as a man who can replace Torreira. Since Genoa got relegated last season, they did not sign the midfielder on a permanent basis and he returned to Bayer Leverkusen.
It is stated that Fiorentina value his versatility in the midfield and his ability to play in a variety of roles in the heart of the park, apart from the fact that he can play the role that Torreira donned last season. Fiorentina have not made any move for him and they are currently only interested in him.
