Fiorentina set to sign Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic on a permanent basis

Fiorentina are set to sign Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic on a permanent basis this summer.

While there was constant talk about the fact that La Viola were about to sign Jovic on a loan deal, Gianluca di Marzio has claimed that the move will be a permanent transfer.

Documents for the permanent transfer between the two clubs have now been exchanged, with the striker expected to complete his Fiorentina move by the 9th of July. There is a unique thing about the transfer as Real will pay the player’s salary for the next two seasons instead of paying a compensation fee or Fiorentina paying a transfer fee.

At the end of two seasons, Jovic will have the option to stay at Fiorentina or move on. If he stays at the club, Fiorentina would have to double the wage that he would earn from Real in the first two seasons. If La Viola sell the player, Real would get 50 percent of the sell-on.
