Fiorentina ultras have mocked the clubโs executives following the clubโs failure to sign Lucas Torreira permanently.
It was reported at the end of last week that despite rumours, La Viola will not sign the Uruguayan midfielder on a permanent basis and numerous reasons about it were reported.
Firenze Viola report that Curve Fiesola recently made their displeasure clear against Joe Barone, who was handling discussions for the Torreira deal. Close to the gates of the Artemio Franchi yesterday, the Curve Fiesola displayed a banner against him.
The banner read: โTorreira at Arsenal, Barone at Arsenalโ
This comes after Barone had come under criticism from a lot of La Viola fans following the sale of Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus. Torreira impressed in his loan stint at Fiorentina, scoring multiple goals and helping Vincenzo Italianoโs teams build from the back in the defensive midfield role. Juventus have been linked with the player in recent days.
