Future of Fiorentina manager uncertain as talk of release clause emerges

The future of Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano is now uncertain and talk of a release clause in his contract has emerged today.

TGR Rai Toscana journalist Sara Meini has reported today that Italiano’s current deal expires in the summer of 2023 and he is yet to sign an extenstion. But there is a time frame for a release clause in his current deal.

If Italiano manages to present an offer from another club to Fiorentina between the 1st of June and the 15th of June, La Viola would have to let him leave. The clause is currently at €10 million and it would have to be paid in a one-time payment. Fali Ramadani is said to have had a vital part to play in this contract.

Napoli have been linked with a move for Italiano today, with a report from Corriere dello Sport having stated that he could be a potential replacement for Luciano Spalletti.
