Gianluca di Marzio on Osimhen amidst Arsenal links: “Don’t think he will be sold for less than €100 million”

Journalist Gianluca di Marzio believes that Victor Osimhen will not leave Napoli for less than 100 million this summer, amidst links with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Osimhen has been heavily linked with an exit from Napoli this summer, with reports recently claiming that he is well aware of interest from Premier League clubs in him.

Di Marzio spoke to Wettfreunde recently and he gave his views on the future of Osimhen and whether the Nigerian could leave this summer or not.

He said: “I can’t imagine him being sold for €80m because he was signed for €70m. Aurelio de Laurentiis is very smart when it comes to signing and very tricky when he has to sell. So I don’t think he’s going to let Osimhen go for under €100m – minimum. So it will depend on which club in the Premier League will have that money for a single player.

“Clearly Arsenal need a player like him because he has a fantastic attitude. He would be perfect for Arsenal, Manchester United or even PSG. PSG, if they have to buy another striker because Mbappe goes to Real Madrid and if Mauro Icardi is also sold.

“If Napoli win Serie A, then it would be easier for him to leave. For now, de Laurentiis has the pressure from the fans as they are in a difficult situation after losing games and they have to qualify for the Champions League. Osimhen is Napoli’s best player so it won’t be easy for other clubs to get him in the summer.”

Since arriving from Lille in the summer of 2019, Osimhen has impressed for Napoli. He has scored 27 times since then, scoring 13 times in Serie A in the current campaign while also racking up five assists.
