After proposing an extension offer to the Slovakian international, Inter awaits the response of Milan Skriniar regarding his contract renewal this week.
As it stands, the 27 year-old’s contract with the Beneamata is set to expire in the summer of 2023, allowing him to potentially depart to another club on a free transfer ahead of next year’s campaign.
After almost offloading Skriniar to PSG for a fee of €70m, Inter shut down the negotiations and decided to hold onto the star defender with the hopes of prolonging his stay past this season.
So far this campaign, Skriniar has played a pivotal role within the back-line, featuring in 21 games across all competitions for the Nerazzurri throughout the first half of the current campaign.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that Inter have submitted a multi-year contract extension worth €6m plus bonuses and are awaiting for his response this current week.
With the Ligue 1 giants applying pressure as they are keen on acquiring Skriniar, the Milanese club hopes to wrap up the negotiations quickly in order to ensure that the 27 year-old will remain at the San Siro.
