Inter make contact with Chelsea for Trevoh Chalobah

Inter are expecting a wild end to their summer transfer window, with names like Trevoh Chalobah and Manuel Akanji linked with a move to the Italian side.

According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter have shown interest in signing Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea. The report claims that the Nerazzurri management sees Chalobah as a potential replacement for Andrea Ranocchia, who has joined Monza this summer.

During their negotiations with Chelsea for the sale of Cesare Casadei, Inter enquired about the defender.

The Italian club would like to bring him on a season-long loan deal, a proposal that Chelsea would not understandably accept. Chelsea are not reportedly open to loaning out the 23-year-old centre-back.

Besides the Englishman, Inter have also identified Manuel Akanji as a defensive transfer target this summer. The report also suggests that Francesco Acerbi is interested in reuniting with his former Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi. The rumours of Paris Saint-Germain submitting a new offer for Milan Skriniar remains unconfirmed.
