Inter continue negotiations with Chelsea after getting the nod from Trevor Chalobah

Inter have reportedly identified Premier League side Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah as a top priority after agreeing on personal terms with the player himself.

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are focused on pursuing Chalobah and will try to finalise details within next Monday. Having received the approval from the 23-year-old is a major boost for Inter who wants to make their last signing of the summer play a crucial role during the 2022/23 season.

The Blues from Stamford Bridge are a tough nut to crack but Inter feel optimistic about the deal with the player also pushing out for a move.

Chelsea expects the Nerazzuri to send them a €2 million loan deal offer which is quite expensive for Inter considering their financial situation — per a previous report

A new addition in defence is a must for Inter for which they have also approached Lazio in order to agree on terms for defender Francesco Acerbi. The talks with the Biancocelesti were positive as Inter could take the player on a free loan deal for a year and also Lazio was willing to pay two months’ salary to Acerbi in order to facilitate the move. This still remains a plan B if things go south in the Chalobah front.
