Inter hold positive talks with Milan Škriniar over contract renewal

Inter have begun talks over a new contract with the entourage of Milan Škriniar. The defender’s current terms at the Italian club expire in June 2023.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin, the Nerazzurri had positive discussions regarding a contract renewal with the representatives of Škriniar on Thursday.

Biasin reports that there was no conversation regarding the numbers of a potential salary of the player in the new contract between the two parties.

But the Inter management were more interested in knowing whether the player is willing to extend his stay with the Nerazzurri or not. It is also claimed that there will be a new meeting soon.

Paris Saint-Germain were close to signing Škriniar in the summer transfer window of 2022. But with president Steven Zhang blocking a move for the French capital on the final day of the transfer window, the 27-year-old defender had to stay put in Italy. This season, the centre-back has made 16 appearances across all competitions for Inter.
