Inter managing director on Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku: “He wants to come to Inter.”

Inter managing director Alessandro Antonello has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku wants to return to Inter this summer.

Talks were held between Chelsea and Inter yesterday and during the meeting, the Nerazzurri made their first offer for the Belgian. It was not enough for the Blues and there is a feeling that the deal could be closed at around €10 million for the loan fee.

Recently, Antonello spoke to Sky Italia and provided some details about Inter’s move for their former striker this summer.

“There is a great desire on the part of Lukaku to return to Inter. Economic and financial feasibility and the resolution of some technical problems must be verified , but it is better to talk about this with Marotta.”

The report also goes on to claim that there is still an economic difference between what Inter are offering and what Chelsea want. But the talks are still hot and an agreement could well be reached soon. Lukaku is said to be willing to take a wage cut to re-join Inter this summer and has informed Chelsea of his decision.
