Inter can only sign Chelsea star on a loan deal

A loan deal in the summer is the only way that Inter would be able to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea this summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about how the Nerazzurri will operate in the forwards’ market in the summer, with Paulo Dybala still expected to join the club on a free transfer. It is stated that while Inter want to keep Lautaro Martinez, there is a chance that he can be sold for economic reasons. In such a case, the Argentine will leave only reluctantly.

The report claims that while Joaquin Correa is not expected to leave despite interest from La Liga, Matias Vecino, Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez will leave and that will also hand Inter funds for the market.

It is stated that while Dybala’s signing will reduce the chances of the Nerazzurri bringing back Lukaku, it would only have to happen on a loan deal. The asking price for the Belgian will be out of his former club’s reach and assuming that Chelsea agree to loan the player out, Inter may want to sign him on that account.

It would also require Lukaku to be happy with a salary reduction. It has been reported before that Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello does not want his client to return to the Meazza in the summer.

Gianluca Scamacca and Sebastien Haller are appreciated by Beppe Marotta’s club but it would require spending a lot of money.
