Inter now see Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah as a priority target for the centre-back role, ahead of Manuel Akanji and Francesco Acerbi.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Inter’s objective this summer is to sign another defender and close their market with that signing. While Acerbi is a name being followed, other profiles also remain on the shortlist.
Chalobah is a name being keenly followed by the Nerazzurri, who are trying to figure out the possibility of signing him on loan from Chelsea. And he is a priority for them right now.
A move for Acerbi is pretty much sealed but the Nerazzurri only need to decide whether to really sign him or not. They will take a while to make a decision on that and the roads for Manuel Akanji also remain open for them. But there’s a feeling that their decision regarding a defender could be made late in the window.
