Inter open to selling Denzel Dumfries amid interest from Manchester United

Premier League club Manchester United are keen on making a summer transfer for Denzel Dumfries, who could be sold by Inter to help the club’s financial situation.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are open to selling Denzel Dumfries for a transfer fee of around €40 million this summer.

After a successful campaign in the Nerazzurri colours in the 2021/22 season, Dumfries’ market value has gone uphill. Inter discussed a potential sale of the wing-back with Chelsea earlier this summer.

Manchester United have emerged as the latest club to show interest in the compatriot of Erik ten Hag. The report claims that the Red Devils could intensify their interest in the Dutchman if Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves Old Trafford this summer.

There have been rumours of the Italian club being forced to sell Milan Ĺ kriniar to alleviate their financial issues. But if Ĺ kriniar were to stay put, Inter could sell Dumfries instead to collect the requisite funds.

Signed from PSV Eindhoven as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi in the summer transfer window of 2021, the 26-year-old played 33 matches in Serie A, garnering five goals and five assists last season. The player is bound to Inter’s contract until June 2025.
