Inter want a cover for Marcelo Brozovic, turn eyes toward the PSG man

Inter are looking to bring in a defensive midfielder next summer, with PSG assessing options for the wantaway midfielder Leandro Paredes

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are willing to sign Paredes from PSG as a deputy for Marcelo Brozovic. Paredes’ contract in Paris will expire in June 2023.

But the report understands that the French club would allow the Argentine midfielder to leave the club for as low as €15million this summer. On the other hand, Paredes is reportedly in no mood to stay put in France. He wants a move to Italy.

This season, amid a couple of fitness issues, the 27-year-old defensive midfielder has made 15 league appearances for the runaway Ligue 1 champions.

In Brozovic’s absence, Inter have appeared to be fragile in the midfield this term. Signing a cover for Brozovic is thus considered Nerazzurri’s “fundamental objective” for the next transfer window.
