Inter defender Stefan de Vrij is currently a doubt for the club’s Serie A game against Torino after he picked up a problem against Liverpool at Anfield.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that De Vrij had suffered from a fatigue issue on his left calf and that is why Simone Inzaghi didn’t risk him for the second half and replaced him with Danilo D’Ambrosio.
The real extent of the injury is yet to be assessed but more updates can arrive in the next few hours or on Wednesday morning. In any case, the Dutchman is a doubt for the game against Torino, who Inter play at the weekend.
There is still time to recover for the defender and the medical test for him is expected to take place tomorrow. Marcelo Brozovic’s situation will also be assessed tomorrow after he took a stomp on his foot.
