Juventus’ De Ligt could seek summer exit, Chelsea well positioned

Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt could be open to seeking an exit from the club in the summer and Chelsea would be well positioned to sign the player.

Daniele Longo has reported that while De Ligt feels at home in Turin with Juventus, he is keeping his options open for the summer and could seek an exit from the club as well. The market could have multiple possibilities for him, even though the relationship with Juve seems serene.

To guarantee his stay at the club, Juve would have to reny his contract beyond 2024. Talks about the renewal have not started yet and a lot will depend on Mino Raiola and his ideas for the player’s future.

If the extension does not take off, De Ligt will be put on the market and Chelsea will be interested in the Dutchman. There are no confirmations about a €75 million clause for Barcelona but that figure could be enough to convince Juve for a sale.
