Serie A giants Juventus have now come forward with an offer for Napoli legend Dries Mertens.
While it was previously reported that the Bianconeri are interested in Mertens, it wasn’t known whether the Belgian would want to join the Old Lady.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Juve have now certainly come forward for the forward and have put forward a two-year deal for him. As things stand, Filip Kostic isn’t the only player that the Bianconeri are going for in the last month of the transfer window.
Mertens is looking for a new club, after having left Napoli and having posted an emotional message of farewell to the Partenopei yesterday. Turkish side Galatasaray are also interested in signing the Belgium international. As far as the Juventus offer is concerned, Mertens hasn’t opened up to the possibility of playing for the Bianconeri – as it was previously reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport
