Juventus pushing for Leandro Paredes after Aaron Ramsey’s departure

Juventus have exploited the summer transfer window to a significant extent. But before shutting the bank, PSG star Leandro Paredes appears to be the need of the hour for the Old Lady.

According to Il Mattino, Juventus are now more focused on bringing in Leandro Paredes from Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent transfer this summer.

The French club values the midfielder at €20-€25 million. Juventus have recently confirmed the termination of Aaron Ramsey’s contract, meaning that Juve’s midfield department lacks a body following the departure of the Welshman.

Signing the Argentinian could help them fill that void. And, if the South American’s injury history is compared to that of Ramsey, it is evident that Massimiliano Allegri will be able to get more games out of the legs of the 28-year-old midfield destroyer.

On the other hand, PSG are willing to land Renato Sanches in this ongoing summer transfer window. But to do so, they will have to make some room first. Selling Paredes will certainly help the cause, but they don’t want to let him leave on a cheap deal.

With Paul Pogba ‘s latest injury also being a point of concern for Bianconeri. signing Paredes looks like the only panacea that could lead Juve to salvation.

Besides the Argentinian, the Italian club remains interested in the services of Alvaro Morata, who has extended his contract with Atletico Madrid until June 2024.
