Juventus receive Federico Chiesa and Paul Pogba injury updates

Juventus take on Empoli in their next Serie A fixture on Friday evening. Ahead of the game, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri discussed the fitness of Federico Chiesa and Paul Pogba.

As reported TuttoMercatoWeb, Allegri confirmed he would allow the pair more time to regain their fitness. The six-time Scudetto winner said:

“Chiesa has made progress. On Saturday morning, a friendly match will be organised for him to see how he is holding up and how he moves on the pitch. Paul has done some things with the team, and let’s not forget that he hasn’t done any serious training since 23 July. We need to give him time. Rushing to get him back one game early and jeopardising all the work would be pure madness.”

Juventus have made a torrid start to their league campaign, having garnered just 16 points from 10 matches in Serie A thus far. Among the Bianconeri supporters, there is a general feeling that the results would’ve been different if both Chiesa and Pogba had been available from the start of the season.
