Juventus have now made the decision to sign Marseille’s Arek Milik over pursuing a move for Barcelona’s Memphis Depay.
It was reported that while Juve had agreed a fee with Marseille for Milik, they still had Depay at the top of their shortlist of potential striker targets.
Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that a meeting has taken place and it involved the club’s leadership. And the decision has now been made that Juve will go through with a move for the Polish striker, for whom there is an agreement for an initial loan deal.
The striker has now come close to sealing a move to the Old Lady, as the meeting with Max Allegri has yielded the result that they would sign the ex-Napoli man. They will now accelerate for the striker and try to seek an agreement with the player’s entourage.
Juve will also have the option to buy Milik permanently for €8 million next summer after an initial loan deal worth €2 million.
