Lazio boss wants reunion with Chelsea, Everton, Inter and Napoli stars

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri wants to bring some of the players who have the experience of playing under the Tuscan manager.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarri is interested in a reunion with Emerson Palmieri, Allan, Matías Vecino, and Dries Mertens this summer.

Emerson, who left Chelsea on a season-long loan deal last summer, is currently playing his professional football for Lyon. The report understands that Lazio are willing to sign the left-back on loan with an option to buy in the summer.

The Biancocelesti will reportedly be looking to strike a deal for Allan, whose contract at Everton expires in June 2023. Lazio, as per the report, would like to sign the midfielder at a reasonable price. Sarri and Allan have understandably shared a deep affection for each other since their days in Naples.

Furthermore, the Lazio boss will be pushing Claudio Lotito to lure Mertens away from Napoli. The all-time top goalscorer for the Partenopei, Mertens is seen as a perfect deputy for Ciro Immobile at the Rome-based club. Like that of Mertens, Vecino’s contract at Inter will come to an end in June 2022.
