Lazio make progress in move for Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon

Serie A side Lazio are making progress in their move to sign Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon.

While Gianluca di Marzio had reported yesterday that Lazio’s move for Spurs’ left-back Reguilon was complex, it seems as if progress has been made on that front.

La Lazio Siamo Noi have reported that negotiations between the two clubs have already started for an initial loan deal with the option to buy the Spaniard on a permanent basis.

Spurs have now agreed to pay a majority of the left-back’s wage and that has helped Lazio in making progress in a potential deal for the ex-Real Madrid man. It has dissolved one of the issues surrounding the transfer, as Reguilon earns over €3.5 million per season.

It is stated that the ball is now in the hands of Lazio’s Claudio Lotito, who is reflecting on closing a deal as soon as he can. Maurizio Sarri wants a left-back in the side and signing Reguilon would satisfy that demand.
