Lazio unwilling to sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in January despite Juventus interest

Serie A side Lazio are unwilling to sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the January transfer window despite interest from Juventus.

Alfredo Pedulla, in his column for La Gazzetta dello Sport, has stated that Milinkovic-Savic situation represents a tug of war between what Lazio’s Claudio Lotito wants and what his agent Mateja Kezman wants. Lotito does not want to sell the Serbian this summer and his valuation stands at €120 million. But Kezman is pondering the best time to move the player on.

It is stated that even if a club makes an offer in triple figures for Milinkovic-Savic, Lazio will not let the player leave and they’re not even thinking about an exit and they will postpone the sale to the summer.

Lazio’s relations with Kezman are excellent and they hinge on Igli Tare’s special bond with the agent, which also led to Dimitrije Kamenović’s move to Lazio as he also is represented by Kezman. Many believe that Milinkovic-Savic’s stay depands on Tare’s contract extension at Lazio because of his relations with Kezman.

Ivan Ilic remains Maurizio Sarri’s choice to replace Milinkovic-Savic and he was the chosen one even last summer.
